Jen Metzger is an accomplished public servant and educator with a strong background in government and political science. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Government from Oberlin College and a Doctorate in Political Science from Rutgers University. Metzger has been deeply involved in local government, serving as both a Council Member and Deputy Supervisor in the Town of Rosendale. She represented District 42 in the New York State Senate, advocating for her constituents at the state level. Her commitment to civic engagement is further demonstrated by her role as Executive Director at Citizens for Local Power. Metzger has also contributed to academia, working as an Instructor at Rutgers University and the Walt Whitman Center for Culture and Politics of Democracy. Additionally, she has experience as a Public Affairs Coordinator with the United Nations Association.
