Javier Salazar is the Sheriff of Bexar County, Texas. He was first elected to this position in 2016 and has since been reelected twice, most recently in 2024 for his third term. Prior to becoming sheriff, Salazar served with the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) for 23 years.
