Jason Plummer is a Republican member of the Illinois Senate, representing the 55th District since 2019. The district encompasses parts of the Greater St. Louis region, including Bond, Clay, Clinton, Effingham, Fayette, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Richland, Washington, and St. Clair counties. Plummer serves as an Assistant Leader in the Illinois Republican Senate Caucus. An accomplished businessman, he holds the position of Vice President at R.P. Lumber, a family-owned business. Prior to his political career, Plummer served as a naval officer in the U.S. Navy. His diverse career in both business and public service reflects his commitment to his constituents and his leadership within the Republican Party.
