Janice Kay Hahn is an American politician and educator, currently serving as a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for the 4th district since 2016. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Hahn represented California in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2016. She was elected initially in the 36th congressional district and later served the 44th district. Prior to her congressional tenure, Hahn was a member of the Los Angeles City Council from 2001 to 2011, representing the 15th district. Her political career began with her role on the Los Angeles Charter Reform Commission from 1997 to 1999. Hahn's diverse experience highlights her commitment to public service and community engagement.
