She holds a Doctorate in Natural Resource Management from Oregon State University and a Master's degree in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics from The Ohio State University. Jane has served as a Councilmember for District D in Raleigh City, where she has been instrumental in shaping local policy. Her expertise extends to her role as a Coastal Economics Specialist with the North Carolina Sea Grant at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
