Jack Smith (1932-1989) was a visionary American filmmaker, actor, and a pivotal figure in the underground cinema movement. Renowned as a founding father of American performance art, Smith's work in film direction, photography, acting, and cinematography left a lasting impact on the art world. Throughout his career, he was critically recognized as a master photographer. Beyond his contributions to the arts, Smith also served in the US Army, achieving the rank of Captain. He ventured into entrepreneurship, founding Organizational Capability Services, LLC, and Custom Golf Travels, LLC. Additionally, he was an active community leader, serving as a Councilmember for District C in Cary Town. His diverse experiences and pioneering spirit made him a multifaceted public figure.
