ack Munns is the current Mayor of Redding, California, having been elected to the City Council in November 2022 for a four-year term. He was born and raised in Redding and graduated from Enterprise High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a master's degree in Social Work. In 1989, Munns began his career with the Reno Police Department, where he served for 21 years before retiring in 2010 and returning to Redding. He has also been a member of the Redding Grand Jury and is active in the local faith community.
