Stop the closure of HSBC branches in the Rhondda
Responding to the news that HSBC intends to close its branches in Porth and Treorchy and transfer all clients to Pontypridd, Chris Bryant MP and Leighton Andrews AM said: "This is yet another blow for customers and businesses in the Rhondda. The cavalier manner in which this decision is being announced and the evident lack of understanding of the local geography shows that our banks still have little regard for the local customers they are meant to serve. This is precisely the kind of decision that the Financial Conduct Authority should have been examining in its inquiry into the culture practices of the banks, so we remain angry that the Tory Government has cancelled this inquiry. Whilst many businesses will be glad to hear that they can now use the Post Office for more HSBC services in the Rhondda, it is worrying that the future of the Porth Post Office is still not yet secure. We shall be pushing HSBC to delay the closure of the Porth branch at least until the new Porth Post Office is open and to reverse its decision to close the cash machines in Treorchy and Porth."
Boycott companies "Boycotting" YouTube's advertisment program
We vow to boycott the purchasing of any products from any company boycotting YouTube's Adsense program on supposed "moral" grounds. This will take effect immediately until your YouTube ad revenue is turned on. We also request a statement from your company expressing allegiance to the spirit of our Bill of Rights and Constitution specifically the 1st Amendment. And an acknowledgement that like every citizen of this great country your company has a SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY to honor the 1st Amendment and Bill of Rights. Simply stated we believe that this move to "demonetize" content creators is thinly veiled CENSORSHIP. As your companies "supposed moral stance" on "racist rhetoric" or "violent content" is not reflected in "mainstream media advertising" where countless movies, television shows, news casts, music etc display images, concepts, acts and verbiage dealing in racism, sexism, materialism, greed, violence, profane language, explicit sex acts, innuendos of pedophilia, endorsements of war and countless other hideous, insidious, profane and immoral acts. Furthermore the companies mentioned have histories of engaging in scandals and illegal activities themselves. HSBC for example laundering money for drug cartels and terrorists groups. GSK China bribery scandal. AT&T spying scandal and the 100 million dollar fine it paid for "misleading consumers" These are but a few examples in a LONG LIST OF CORRUPT AND IMMORAL activities engaged in by said companies. The hypocrisy is palpable. The timing questionable. The and the end result is an ANTI AMERICAN, anti freedom, anti free market, anti human result. We see this as nothing more then "globalist, fascist" power grab. With the intention of quashing the ever growing independent media and entertainment complex. As you companies political, social and economic interests lie in the preservation of the "Corporate Media Establishment" aka "State sponsored media" We request that the following companies reinstate their Revenues to Youtube in order to lift out "peoples boycott" on your products. Simple steps can be taken in order to reduce ads being displayed next to "unethical" content. This does not have to include punishing whole segments of the YouTube community and CENSORING unpopular opinions. ArgosAudiAvivaHavas Group UK froze all of its spend. Western New York Community and Kearns Holding Banks Accountable Through Shame Campaign
The "Bank Shame Campaign" started in Buffalo, moved to West Seneca, Lackawanna, Orchard Park, and has now reached all of Erie County with 2,000 homes reported to Assembly member Michael P. Kearns office. This campaign entails placing a sign on incompletely foreclosed properties in order to draw attention to this national crisis and be a catalyst for change. The reason for the confusion is that the banks try to duck responsibility for upkeep and maintenance by assigning the mortgage to other banks, after the borrower has defaulted on the loan and stopped making payments. This leaves the community lost in trying to find out who to call to take care of rats and other vermin, overgrown weeds, overgrown bushes and in some instances squatters or vagrants who enter the premises. Not all banks or credit unions are bad actors. Officials of some banks supported the Incomplete Foreclosure Summit which recognizes the need to discuss the vital issues related to foreclosures and vacancies in the community. The summit was an important formal meeting between government officials, the banking and financial industry, the not-for-profit sector, the legal community and Western New Yorkers. After receiving numerous phone calls from constituents in the 142nd Assembly District and now throughout New York State, the need for a comprehensive and meaningful dialogue with all stakeholders is apparent. These banks recognize that a single home in foreclosure costs a neighborhood 1.4 percent in home value for the homes within an eighth of a mile from the foreclosed home. (Kathleen Engel, The Subprime Virus, page 145). We must go beyond understanding the real harm that these foreclosures cause and start acting to remedy this situation. Help the Erie County community and join the “City of Good Neighbors” in holding banks accountable and finishing the foreclosure process.
