Honolulu City Council

The Honolulu City Council is the legislative body for the city and county of Honolulu, the most populous city in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It consists of nine members, each elected from one of nine districts throughout the city and serving four-year terms. The council is responsible for all legislative activities within the city, including enacting laws, setting policy, managing budget and financial matters, and provide checks and balances to the power of the city's mayor. It works to uphold the quality of city services, the city's financial stability, and the well-being of its constituents.
