Guillermo Lasso

Guillermo Lasso is an accomplished Ecuadorian politician and businessman who was elected president of Ecuador in 2021. Prior to this, he has held several significant positions in the financial and political sectors of his country, including serving as the Governor of Guayas Province as well as the Minister of Economy and Finance. Lasso has made a name for himself as a conservative politician, supporting free-market policies and social conservatism. He's also the founder of the Creating Opportunities (CREO) party and was its presidential candidate in 2013 and 2017 before finally securing the presidency on his third run in April 2021.
