Governor Desantis

Governor Ron DeSantis is the 46th and current governor of Florida, having held this position since January 2019. A member of the Republican Party, DeSantis earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Yale University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to his tenure as governor, he served as a U.S. Representative from 2013 to 2018 for Florida's 6th congressional district. DeSantis has placed emphasis on issues such as environment conservation, budget cuts, and school choice during his governorship. He also served in the Navy, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander during his active duty times.
