Governador de Minas Gerais is the highest-ranking official in the executive branch of the state government of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The governor's responsibilities include representing the state within the Federal Republic of Brazil and overseeing the administration of state government agencies. In addition, the governor is responsible for implementing state laws, and working with the legislative branch to pass new laws and the state budget. The governor is elected to a four-year term and may serve up to two consecutive terms.
