GOOGLE: Put Palestine On Your Maps!
The country of Palestine does not appear on Google maps. Why not? Israel, established on Palestinian land, is clearly designated. But there is no mention of Palestine. According to Google, Palestine does not exist. The omission of Palestine is a grievous insult to the people of Palestine and undermines the efforts of the millions of people who are involved in the campaign to secure Palestinian independence and freedom from Israeli occupation and oppression. This is an important issue, as Google Maps are now regarded as definitive by people around the world, including journalists, students and others carrying out research into the Israel-Palestine situation. Whether intentionally or otherwise, Google is making itself complicit in the Israeli government's ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Please join us in calling on Google to recognize Palestine in Google Maps, and to clearly designate and identify the Palestinian territories illegally occupied by Israel. Please remember to share this petition with your social media contacts. Thank you. Zak Martin Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1694829384126063/
Set the doodle on April 24 | Փոխե’ք Google Doodle-ը ապրիլի 24-ին
A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google's homepage. The Armenian Genocide was the Ottoman government’s systematic extermination of its minority Armenian subjects from their historic homeland within the territory constituting the present-day Republic of Turkey. The starting date is conventionally held to be 24 April 1915, the day Ottoman authorities rounded up and arrested hundreds of Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Constantinople. The total number of people killed as a result has been estimated at between 1 and 1.5 million. This is why we have the responsibility of spreading awareness about the genocide, and why Google should get involved for all humanity.

YouTube: Remove Wrestling from "Offensive Content" List!
THE DISCLAIMERS I'm both a huge wrestling fan and an indy booker. I love wrestling. There, we're covered. EDIT: Should anyone find any factual inaccuracies in the petition, in either the story told or my reasoning, don't hesitate to contact me at email@example.com. THE SETUP On March 2017, YouTube underwent changes to its algorithm. You know, the piece of code that decides how content is organized, which videos appear on searches first and - most importantly here - what content is fit for advertisers. This came on the heels of a potentially big advertisers' boycott of YouTube, as many learned their ads were running in videos that contained and featured several forms of hate speech, among other inappropriate content. For the record, there's nothing wrong with that. Hate speech deserves nothing but 100 times the reception John Cena got at the Hammerstein Ballroom at One Night Stand. THE PROBLEM YouTube's algorithm (which is still being worked on) seems to broadly consider pro wrestling inappropriate content. While I don't particularly enjoy watching Stephanie McMahon slap and emasculate wrestlers, I wouldn't call it inappropriate content. And I certainly wouldn't put it on the same level as racially or politically-motivated hate speech. If pro wrestling were that inappropriate, it wouldn't run on platforms like the USA Network. The changes made by YouTube are, I believe, exaggerated. THE CONSEQUENCES The pro: YouTube avoids an advertiser exodus. The con: YouTubers, Internet businesses and even big companies that work on topics like video gaming, social issues and our near and dear pro wrestling, are losing the revenue previously channeled to them by YouTube's advertisers. Why? Because the advertisers don't want their ad money on "inappropriate content". Several wrestling promotions have openly stated this course of action by YouTube had a very real impact on their ability to do business. At the top of the list, is WhatCulture and its WCPW brand, which made clear it was cancelling its WCPW Loaded tapings - which are broadcast via YouTube - and attributed the cancellation to YouTube's changes. The changes not only make it virtually impossible for them to receive money from ads on their videos, but also make it harder for them to be found by users - YouTube has also launched a "Restricted Mode" feature, designed to "protect" users from inappropriate content. According to Cageside Seats, other indy companies, like AIW and Beyond Wrestling, have also pointed out problems and difficulties arising from these changes. THE BOTTOM LINE While I certainly wouldn't want my own money for video ads to be used in the middle of videos promoting racism, I fail to see how an ad before/during a bad ass promo segment or a potential match-of-the-year performance doesn't provide a viable and engaging platform for advertising. (See amount of commercials that run during WWE Raw on the USA Network.) WCPW recently uploaded a totally free Rey Mysterio/Alberto El Patron match, which drew over 1 million viewers. But only $43 in ad revenue. For the entertainment level they are providing, WhatCulture Pro Wrestling and many other hard-working promotions deserve a return becoming of the content they put out - and the views it has the ability to generate. MY WISH AND MY PETITION I think it's only a matter of time until YouTube realizes pro wrestling is NOT inappropriate content. Their changes are, after all, a work in progress. But why wait? Why wait when wrestling promotions are feeling the crunch RIGHT NOW? Why don't we just take the question to YouTube. RIGHT NOW. SIGN MY PETITION And let's get wrestling promotions some money for their hard-earned work inside and outside the ring.Thank you.
Retire do ar os vídeos do criminoso Gustavo Guerra!
Reinstate PewDiePie's Network & Scare PewDiePie Season 2!
PewDiePie is well known for his comedic approach to many topics.. Yet due to the push of many media companies—one main culprit being Wall Street Journal (@WSJ)—PewDiePie has been cut off from his network Maker Studios & YouTube has canceled his YouTube Red series Scare PewDiePie Season 2 to the outrage of many fans. All of this because PewDiePie was being PewDiePie?? This whole idea of PewDiePie being an Anti Semite & Racist has been blown out of proportion! It's time the people have a voice on this! Let's work together to let Disney & YouTube know they have made a mistake!
Get Google to remove its LGBT censorship policy from YouTube!
One of the best (and worst) parts of the Internet is that it has EVERYTHING. But I wanna focus on the good, and why being able to find what you're looking for online is important. Recently, Google updated its policy to censor LGBTIQ+ content on YouTube to anyone under the age of 18. This discrimination takes away the opportunity for under-18s who use YouTube to feel part of a community, enjoy content they can relate to, realise they aren't alone in their experiences, and it could even save a life in some cases. As a YouTuber, I create content (amazing content, if I do say so myself). That content isn't just for lulz; I want viewers to feel like they're not alone: your stories are actually OUR stories – interesting, entertaining, challenging stories. As a kid, I didn't have YouTube, so I couldn't easily access millions of people's stories. At times when I really could've used a familiar face telling a familiar story, that made me feel alone. This generation doesn't need to feel alone. YouTube, change your discriminatory censorship policy now!
The ending of The Yulin Dog Festival
This is so pressing we can not stop now. There is a dog meat festival in Yulin, China that last for 10 days. Where they brutally torture dogs before they consume them for meals. The forms of torture include boiling them alive, beating them to death, starvation and dehydration, and keeping them in very small cages with over 10 dogs in one. We would like to stop this festival because it is inhuman to commit this kind of act to a poor innocent dog.
Save the Nik Collection!
In 2012, google bought Nik Software, bringing the Nik Collection and the popular photo editing app Snapseed into their portfolio. Snapseed had become one of the most popular photo editing apps in the iTunes App Store. Whereas the Nik Collection was an important tool for photographers, especially for creating black and white photographs from digital files using Nik Silver Efex. In 2017 google decided to let the Nik Collection die, as they are only interested in the smart phone app snapseed. Photographers who use and depend on it for their work now face a situation, where their ability to continue the work and projects may be destroyed with any new version of OS or applications like Lightroom. Many people were happy when google dropped the price of the Nik Collection from about $500 to $150 and finally gave it away for free. But now that rather seems to have been a move to ruin any competing software developer. Today, with no real competitor, photographers depend on the Nik Collection and would have been willing to pay, to be able to keep it. Especially for their important black & white work. A company like google who claims to contribute to the perservation of mankind's heritage by scanning millions of books, should although show some responsibility towards the photographic community, as photographs are a part of mankind's cultural heritage. Photography is more than an iPhone app! More information:https://petapixel.com/2017/05/30/google-abandons-nik-collection-popular-photo-editing-software/
