Gobierno Nacional de Panamá

The Gobierno Nacional de Panamá, or the National Government of Panama, is the central governing authority in Panama. It is a presidential representative democratic republic, wherein the President of Panama serves as both the head of state and the head of government. The functions and responsibilities include implementing the country's domestic and foreign policies, maintaining public order, administering state resources and services, maintaining diplomatic relationships with other countries, and safeguarding the rights of the Panamanian people. The executive power is exercised by the government while legislative power is vested in both the government and the National Assembly.
