The Gobierno Mexicano, or the Government of Mexico, is a federal democratic republic based on the presidential system according to the 1917 Constitution. Its structured governmental framework comprises three levels: federal, state, and municipal. Each of these has its respective branches - executive, legislative, and judicial. The President of Mexico heads the executive branch at the federal level. The bicameral Congress, made up of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, forms the legislative branch. The judiciary is independent, and the Supreme Court of Justice is the highest authority. The government upholds the mandate of protecting and ensuring citizens' rights while maintaining social order and economic stability.
