The Gobierno de Jalisco is the governing body of Jalisco, one of the 32 states which make up the Republic of Mexico. Based in Guadalajara, the state's capital and largest city, this governmental institution is responsible for administrating public services, creating state laws, and implementing policies to benefit the state's 8 million inhabitants. With an emphasis on sectors such as public safety, education, health, and economic development, the Gobierno de Jalisco works to ensure a good quality of life for all its residents.
