Gobierno de El Salvador

The Gobierno de El Salvador, or the Government of El Salvador, is a democratic republic that operates under a presidential system. It is divided into three branches: the executive, headed by the President who is elected by popular vote; the legislative, composed of a unicameral Legislative Assembly; and the judiciary, led by the Supreme Court. The government is responsible for enacting national policies, ensuring public welfare, and maintaining relations with other countries, among other duties. It is also tasked with preserving the country's sovereignty, upholding the constitution, and guaranteeing civil rights and liberties in accordance with international norms and standards.
