Gobernación de Cundinamarca

The Gobernación de Cundinamarca is the governing body of the Cundinamarca department in Colombia. With its headquarters in the capital city of Bogotá, the gobernación is responsible for the administration of the department's public services, economic policies, and infrastructure projects. This institution is led by a governor, chosen by the people through democratic elections, to serve four-year terms with the possibility of re-election. Besides the governor, a team of secretaries who lead different portfolios such as education, culture, transportation, and health assist in the managing and execution of various programs aimed at enhancing the region’s development and welfare of its inhabitants.
