George M. Borrello is an American businessman and politician, serving as a New York State Senator for District 57 since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Borrello has a notable political career, beginning as a Chautauqua County Legislator from 2010 to 2017. He further advanced to become the County Executive for Chautauqua County, New York, from 2018 to 2019. Borrello entered the New York State Senate by winning a special election in 2019 against Austin Morgan, capturing 67.29% of the vote to fill the vacancy left by Catharine Young's resignation. He officially assumed office on November 26, 2019. Borrello's background in business and politics has been integral to his legislative work in New York State.
