Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) is the government agency responsible for conducting and managing all criminal investigations and proceedings in Mexico. As the country's central law enforcement institution, the FGR functions under the direction and command of the Attorney General. Its primary responsibilities include investigating and prosecuting federal crimes, safeguarding public order and peace, preventing and controlling crimes, and ensuring justice and the enforcement of law throughout the Mexican territory. The FGR plays a crucial role in Mexico's justice system and in the maintenance of public security.
