Europäische Kommission

The Europäische Kommission, or the European Commission, is the executive branch of the European Union, responsible for proposing legislation, enforcing EU laws, and managing the day-to-day business of EU institutions. It consists of a team of Commissioners from each EU country and acts in the collective interest of the EU. Its principal objective is to promote and safeguard the values of European Union including freedom, democracy, equality, and the rule of law. With a wide range of responsibilities, the Commission plays a fundamental role in shaping the policies and fate of the member states of the European Union.
