Esteban Moctezuma

Esteban Moctezuma is a Mexican politician and economist with an illustrious career in serving the public sector. Born on May 21, 1954, he has held significant roles in various governmental departments, most notably as Mexico's Secretary of Social Development and Secretary of the Interior. His educational credentials include a degree in Economics from National Autonomous University of Mexico and an MBA from Yale University. Beyond his political career, Moctezuma has also served as Executive President of Fundación Azteca, the social responsibility arm of Grupo Salinas, majorly working towards Mexico’s development. He is also a conscientious environmentalist, advocating for sustainable development and attention to climate change-related issues. Remarkably, he commenced as Secretary of Education during President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's administration, significantly shaping his long-standing reputation in Mexican politics.
