Dusty Johnson, born in 1976, is an American politician currently serving as the U.S. Representative for South Dakota's at-large congressional district, a position he has held since 2019. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, Johnson's political career began with his service as South Dakota Public Utilities Commissioner from 2005 to 2011. He was then appointed as Chief of Staff to Governor Dennis Daugaard, serving from 2011 to 2014. Following his state political career, Johnson was Vice President of Vantage Point Solutions in Mitchell, South Dakota. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of South Dakota and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Kansas. Johnson is a graduate of T.F. Riggs High School.
