Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is an accomplished Indian politician and prolific writer. Known for his significant contributions to the fields of literature and education, he has earned a reputation as a well-respected figure in the country. Born in 1959 in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, he held the office of Uttarakhand's Chief Minister from 2009 to 2011. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Dr. Nishank served as the Minister of Human Resource Development in the Government of India from May 2019 until July 2020. His body of literary work is expansive, ranging from poems to novels, and have been translated into many languages globally.
