DPR RI

The Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (DPR RI), or the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, is the nation's legislative body. It is responsible for making decisions on national policy, passing laws, and conducting oversight of government performance. Comprising 560 members, representatives are elected through a general election, held every five years in line with the presidential election. The DPR RI plays an essential role in Indonesia’s governmental system, working towards developing policies that best serve the needs and aspirations of Indonesian citizens.
