James Dow Constantine is an accomplished American attorney, urban planner, and politician, currently serving as the County Executive of King County, Washington, a position he has held since 2009. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Constantine's political career began in the Washington State Legislature, where he served from 1997 to 2002, first as a member of the Washington House of Representatives and then the Washington State Senate. From 2002 to 2009, he was a member of the King County Council. Constantine is well-educated, holding a Juris Doctor, a Master's in Urban Planning, and a Bachelor's in Political Science, all from the University of Washington. His extensive experience and academic background have made him a prominent figure in Washington State politics.
