Donzella J. James is an American politician and a dedicated member of the Democratic Party. She has been serving as a State Senator in the Georgia State Senate representing the 35th District since 2009, with prior service from 1994 to 2002. As a prominent figure in Georgia politics, Senator James serves as the Chairwoman of the Interstate Competition committee and actively participates in the Education and Youth, Special Judiciary, and Economic Development committees. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Morris Brown College and has been awarded honorary doctorates from Emmanuel Bible College and Bible Of Christ Bible College and Seminary in Nigeria. Her academic background also includes studies in Business at Georgia State University and she is a proud graduate of Charles L. Harper High School.
