Deputados e Senadores, which translates to Deputies and Senators in English, are critical components of the legislative branch of government in many Portuguese-speaking countries such as Brazil and Portugal. Deputados, similar to members of Congress, serve in the lower house, the Chamber of Deputies, and represent local constituencies. They are tasked with proposing, debating, and voting on laws.
