Departamento de Educacion de Puerto Rico

The Departamento de Educacion de Puerto Rico, or the Department of Education of Puerto Rico, is the governing body for all educational matters and related functions within Puerto Rico. The department oversees all public K-12 schools along with certain private institutions within the territory. Its main goal is to ensure the provision of high-quality education for the overall development of all students. The department is responsible for setting educational standards, evaluating performance, establishing curriculum, and implementing policies to ensure equal access to education for all children in Puerto Rico.
