Debra E. Lekanoff is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Washington Legislature, representing the 40th House district for position 1. She is notably a member of the Tlingit tribe and is recognized as the second female tribal member to serve in the Washington House of Representatives. Serving since 2019, Lekanoff has contributed significantly to her community and state through various roles. She has been the Swinomish Governmental Affairs Director and continues to serve as a State Representative. Additionally, she has held the position of Chair at an Alaska Native Village Corporation. As a dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Lekanoff has focused on representing her constituents and advocating for indigenous and environmental issues.
