Cumhurbaşkanlığı is directly translated as "Presidency" from Turkish and refers to the highest level of executive power in the country. The incumbent holds significant authority, including the ability to appoint vice presidents, ministers, and high-ranking officials, veto laws and issue executive decrees. Introduced via 2017 referendum, this system replaced the previous parliamentary system in Turkey, concentrating higher power in the office of the Presidency.
