Cristina Garcia is a prominent Cuban-American author best known for her exceptional contribution to literature. She was born in Havana, but fled to the United States with her family following the Cuban Revolution. Garcia holds an impressive dual degree in Political Science and English from Barnard College, and an M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University. She has written several novels, including the renowned "Dreaming in Cuban", which was a finalist for the National Book Award. Besides her novels, she has published works in various genres such as poetry, anthologies, and young adult fiction.
