He served as a United States Senator from Colorado from 2015 to 2021, after serving in the United States House of Representatives for the 4th district of Colorado from 2011 to 2015. Before his national political career, Gardner served in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Known for his conservative positions on issues like taxation and healthcare, he has also shown a willingness to reach across party lines on matters such as immigration and criminal justice reform.
