Established under the Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA), it is a non-jurisdictional body composed of chosen community members serving for a determined period. The main role of this council is to promote, protect, and help fulfill the rights of young people, ensuring access to public policies and promoting social and familial inclusion. It serves as an important tool in combating and preventing any instances of violence, neglect, or violation of rights against this vulnerable age group.
