Colorado Springs City Council

The Colorado Springs City Council is the legislative branch of the city government in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Comprised of nine members - four of whom represent specific districts, while the remaining five serve at-large - the council is responsible for establishing regulations and policies for the city. The council works to promote the overall welfare of the city by deliberating on city ordinances, resolutions, and contract agreements. Additionally, the council sets policy direction and takes appropriate actions to meet the community’s needs; some of its other responsibilities include adopting the city's budget, determining tax rates, and approving public improvement projects.
