Chris Reykdal is an American politician and educator who has dedicated much of his career to public service and education in Washington State. Since 2017, he has served as the 15th Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Prior to this role, Reykdal was a Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 22nd district from 2011 to 2017. He is a committed member of the Democratic Party. Reykdal's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies and a Certificate in Teaching from Washington State University, as well as a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His professional experience highlights his commitment to education and public administration, shaping policies that impact schools across Washington State.
