Chad Hurley

Chad Hurley is an American entrepreneur, best known for being a co-founder and former CEO of the globally renowned video sharing platform, YouTube. Born in 1977, he studied design at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania before kick-starting his career at eBay's PayPal division where he met his future YouTube co-founders, Steven Chen and Jawed Karim. After launching YouTube in 2005 and overseeing its meteoric rise, Hurley facilitated its sale to Google in November 2006 for a staggering $1.65 billion. Besides YouTube, Hurley's entrepreneurial prowess features the co-founding of MixBit, a video editing service, and investments in various industries such as sports and technology.
