Camara de Representantes de Puerto Rico

The Camara de Representantes de Puerto Rico, translated as the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico, is the lower house of the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico, the bicameral legislative branch of Puerto Rico. The House, together with the Senate, control the legislative functions. It consists of 51 members, who are elected from single-member districts across the commonwealth. The structure and responsibilities of this legislative body are outlined in the Constitution of Puerto Rico, and its primary function is to create and administer laws for the effective functioning of the commonwealth.
