Robert Louis Wilson, known as Bobby Wilson, is an American former professional baseball catcher and current coach. He serves as the catching coordinator for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). As a player, Wilson showcased his skills in MLB with teams including the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Arizona Diamondbacks, Tampa Bay Rays, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins, and Detroit Tigers. Beyond his baseball career, Wilson has also held diverse roles, such as Senior Research Technician at the University of Pittsburgh and a Research Assistant at UPMC. Additionally, he has engaged in public service as a Councilmember for District 1 in Pittsburgh City, reflecting a multifaceted career spanning sports, research, and civic engagement.
