Bill Blair

Bill Blair is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness in the cabinet of Justin Trudeau. Prior to his political career, Blair spent nearly 40 years with the Toronto Police Service, his last decade as its Chief of Police. During his tenure, he was known for implementing community-based policing models and for his stance on issues such as gun control and mental health. In 2015, he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Scarborough Southwest. His various appointments in the Canadian government have allowed him to heavily influence the nation's public safety policies.
