August Lee Pfluger, born in 1977, is an American military officer and politician, serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 11th congressional district since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, he succeeded Mike Conaway in this role. Pfluger has a distinguished educational background, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master's in Aeronautical Sciences from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a Master's in Military Science, Operational Science from Air University, and a Master's in International Business and Policy from Georgetown University. His career includes roles as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve, Director of Defense Policy & Strategy at the White House National Security Council, and a National Defense Fellow at both The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
