Ashley Simpson Baird is an accomplished educator and researcher with a rich academic background and extensive professional experience. She holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Virginia, a Master's in Spanish from the School for International Training, and a Bachelor's in Letters, Arts, and Sciences from Penn State University. Baird is the Founder and Principal of Merit Research, Policy, and Evaluation. She has served as an Instructor at the University of Virginia and as a Senior Researcher at the Center for English Language Learners at the American Institutes for Research. Her diverse roles also include being a Researcher for the Latino Families Study, a Curriculum Developer at the Curry School of Education, and a Family Literacy Teacher/Adult Education Coordinator at Briya Public Charter School.
