Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi, or the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, is the local government entity serving as the administrative head for the Capital City of Turkey, Ankara. It plays an integral part in managing an expansive geographical area that includes metropolitan, provincial, and district municipalities. Functions of the municipality include urban and environmental planning, regulating city transport, and managing utilities and services. With at least 25 districts under its responsibilities, the Municipality operates with public service at its core, contributing significantly to the socio-cultural development of the city.
