Alex Azar is an accomplished American lawyer and businessman, widely recognized for his work within the health care sector. He held the position of Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Donald Trump from 2018 to 2021, navigating numerous healthcare crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to this, Azar gained notable experience as a pharmaceutical executive at Eli Lilly and Company, and served as Deputy Secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services under George W. Bush. Azar studied economics and government at Dartmouth College and earned a degree in law from Yale University.
