In the recent years, we have witnessed a rise in false cases against men. Be it a false dowry case, a false rape case, a molestation case or just lodging a FIR because the two parties had a little quarrel over something.
To name some, you must be aware of the widespread Jasleen Kaur and Sarvjeet Singh case. The whole nation went berserk without knowing the actual grounds and portrayed Sarvjeet as a molester over-night. The innocent guy had to fight for years, had to give up on his personal life and was seen as a culprit just because of a false case.
Things would have been different if a commission for men existed, it takes so long for a man to prove that he is not guilty. In this era of equality, it is the need of the hour to set up a commission for men too! We need someone to rise voice for the men too, when they are victims, when they are trapped in false cases.
Just to give you an idea of how suppressed men’s justice is, even change.org doesn’t have a men’s rights category whereas, the first category is women’s rights.
In the 21st Century where we are talking about absolute justice for all irrespective of caste, creed, sex, religion, colour, we as men applaud that the women in the contemporary world have groups, commissions, etc to raise the voice but what about men, about his life, career, self-respect, family-respect, his dignity which is snatched by just only one wrong allegation against him, does society think about that?
Let’s bring the equality for men and women, together! Men and women - all deserve to be treated equally. It’s time for us to stand against the devils of society and not against the genders.
