As residents and workers in Boulder, Colorado, we are deeply concerned about the loss of critical RTD bus routes from the Boulder Junction transit station. We urge RTD to reopen Boulder Junction for transit services and bring back the Flatiron Flyer (FF4) and Airport/Boulder Junction (AB2) buses.

The closure of Boulder Junction and removal of these bus routes have significantly impacted travel for thousands of riders. The FF4 provided a direct connection between Denver Civic Center Station and Boulder, while the AB2 was a crucial link between Boulder Junction and Denver International Airport. 

We understand that RTD is facing financial challenges and ongoing operator shortages, but keeping Boulder Junction station closed and indefinitely suspending bus service from Boulder's first transit-oriented development is not a sustainable solution, especially as the neighborhood continues to grow and develop, attracting new residents and businesses.

Bringing back the FF4 and AB2 bus routes will encourage more people to use public transportation instead of driving their cars. This will help reduce traffic congestion on our roads and improve air quality in our community. 

We call on RTD to prioritize public transportation as an essential service and reopen Boulder Junction with these vital bus services for the benefit of current and future RTD riders.
