Why I’m starting this petition:
Every morning and evening, Bharuch comes to a standstill. Traffic jams stretch for kilometers, roads are filled with deep potholes, and the frustration is visible on every driver’s face. Parents struggle to get their kids to school on time, workers lose precious hours in jams, and businesses bleed productivity. Even ambulances and emergency vehicles are stuck, putting lives at risk.

What’s happening in Bharuch:
This monsoon has shown us just how weak our infrastructure is. Roads that should last years are breaking down within weeks. Potholes grow larger every day, entire stretches get waterlogged, and newly constructed roads are washed away. People are exhausted. This has become a daily struggle now, not just an inconvenience.

What we’re asking for:
We are not asking for luxury. We are not asking for special treatment.
We are asking for the basics: safe, lasting roads.

We call for:
Proper repair and reconstruction of damaged roads with long-term quality.
Clear timelines announced publicly so people know when relief is coming.
Regular maintenance before every monsoon so this doesn’t repeat every year.

Why this matters:
Bharuch is one of Gujarat’s most important industrial and cultural cities. Its people are hardworking, resilient, and proud of their home. But the condition of our roads does not reflect that pride. We deserve roads that allow us to move safely, work efficiently, and live with dignity.
