I am writing to request your support in recognizing and promoting World Acupuncture Awareness Day on November 16th through the use of a Google Doodle. Acupuncture has a long and rich history as a system of health and wellness, dating back over 5000 years. With the growing availability of research and analysis, Acupuncture has become a key integrative component of patient care worldwide.

In over 180 countries around the world, Acupuncture has been recognized for its value in health resiliency and prevention. In the United States alone, there are over 40,000 highly qualified practitioners offering Acupuncture services, while in Europe that number is around 80,000.

In 2010, UNESCO recognized and added Acupuncture and Moxibustion to the list of "Intangible Cultural Treasures of Humanity", declaring that this 5000 year old system of healing deserves recognition and a place in our history.

Therefore, I kindly request that Google Doodle recognize World Acupuncture Awareness Day on November 16th by featuring a special Doodle. This would help raise awareness of the benefits of Acupuncture and its importance in healthcare.
