Abolish ABA of 1968 and Update the ADA of 2010

Abolish ABA of 1968 and Update the ADA of 2010

The Issue

Amy Shannon started a video series that shows the right way and the wrong way, to be mobility impaired accessible. Just because the regulations are vague, people should know what it is like to be mobility impaired, and how to use aids, so the disabled can maintain at least some of their independence.

Abolish the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) of 1968

Amend the American Disabilities Act (ADA) of 2010 to include Federal facilities and buildings have the same regulations for EASILY accessible entrances and exits. Amend ALL public access buildings have mandated automatic doors, or a button that can be pushed to make them automatic (light weight doors cannot accommodate everyone).

(If you're right handed, you enter on the left side door, but most of the time, the left door is locked. Right handed persons use their right hand to control their mobility aid, such as a scooter or electric wheelchair (or if they are temporarily injured and have an injured left leg, they hold their crutch or cane with their right-hand) . Left-handed persons, or persons that are temporarily injured and have an injured right leg, they hold their crutch or cane with their left-hand). If you have two doors, why is one of them locked?
