Investigate & bring justice to those responsible for Texas’s deadly electric grid failures

The Issue

The people of Texas demand to know what created the blackout during the 2021 February blizzard. The power failures have resulted in numerous deaths and stemmed a new crisis with water safety and water access. A lack of information and politically driven misinformation have made this crisis worse. We demand an investigation of The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), leadership within the power companies, political leadership including Governor Gregg Abbott, and reducing the 10,000% price spike that occurred during this crisis. Additionally, we demand immediate changes/suspensions to the leadership responsible for power failure until the investigation is concluded. There needs to be a clear understanding if and why: infrastructure was not maintained, resources were not in place (for power generation and staff dispatched for repairs), price gauging occurred, and affluent neighborhoods were not affected.
